DFM & Feasibility

Tier 1 — DFM / Moldability Review

Best for: early risk reduction and quote readiness

Deliverable: DFM report (PDF) with prioritized recommendations.

Covers:

  • Draft/parting/shutoffs/undercuts risk
  • Wall thickness, ribs/bosses, sink/warp risk drivers
  • Clear assumptions + “what to change now” list


Tier 2 — Feasibility + Concept Mold Strategy

Best for: “how will this be tooled?” direction before cutting steel

Deliverable: DFM + concept mold strategy package (PDF).

Adds:

  • Part orientation and parting strategy direction
  • Action strategy (slides/lifters/hand loads) concept
  • Feasibility risks (die lock, poor steel, crash, automation concerns)
  • Quote-basis assumptions for tool shops


Injection-Ready Part Design (add-on)

If you want the recommendations implemented:

  • CAD updates aligned to DFM/feasibility direction
  • Draft/shutoff-ready geometry cleanup
  • Feature optimization for toolability


Mold Design Support (as scoped)

When needed, I provide mold design support from concept through final design.
